Day 1: MWC 2013
If there were still any lonely souls out there who doubted the strength of the wave that is carrying HTML5 adoption through the mobile device ecosystem, today would have been the day that changed their minds.
A quick note about happenings on our booth located in Apps Planet Hall 8.1, stand I31. We met tons of new people, gave a few well-received speeches from the comfort of our construction-zoned themed stand and, of course, gave away hundreds of the coolest gadget in the hall — the AppsFuel HTML5 luggage tag. Just attach it to your bag or backpack to earn free beers at our happy hour starting at 6:00 p.m. every evening of the MWC.
We are surrounded by other champions of the future of the open mobile web HTML5. Among our neighbors are the Mozilla Foundation and the W3C.org, both major players in removing the barriers that separate mobile web applications from the hardware of the devices on which they run.
There was a lot of buzz around HTML5, including the fact that Sony becomes the fifth company to commit to running HTML5 native on their devices, behind ZTE, Alcatel and the above-mentioned LG and Huawei.

Mauro Del Rio at MWC 2013
And the cherry on top was the talk given by Mauro Del Rio, the founder of our parent company, Buongiorno, in which he spoke about the future of HTML5 mobile apps and AppsFuel:
We focus on monetization by giving developers a really easy way to build 1-click carrier billing into their apps, giving end-users the best and safest payment experience available.
